Steve Jobs, 1955-201110/6/2011 7:29:27 AM We're obviously in the aviation business; but Steve Jobs' impact on our industry has been nothing short of revolutionary. His influence on the world will likely be felt and remembered for thousands of years. He was an inspiration to all of us here at Flightwise, and his accomplishments inspired us to invent and innovate, and to do our own small part to change the world. The following line from a 1997 ad campaign for Apple actually says it best, and foretold the legacy of Steve Jobs with a chilling prescience:
Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.
